Right Through my Heart

Magnolia-icious.com is having a contest using this lovely Tilda image. If you hurry, you can still buy the image at lots of money off! She was lots of fun to color and think of things to go with her. I am amazed that I made a card without a ribbon/bow! I got to use some things I haven't used for awhile like my distress inks for the background and the crackle paint for the target. I used e51,52,53 for her dress and e11, e00 r20 for her skin. I can't remember which e I used for the bow. I did put glossy accents on the bow and also on the little heart on her sheath. I used the c's for her black hair and then decided to add just a little black as she looked like an old lady! I got to play with my flower soft a bit and of course stickles. The roses are little prima with stickles I put on them. I also used a new to me punch for the frame for Tilda. I hope I have enough info - my mind isn't what it used to be!!! Hugs to you all, Barb F

new birthday card

I had a chance to make a birthday card today and thought I would share it with you. I kind of elaborated on the sketch challenge from "Roses on Paper". I made this card a standup  and it opens a bit differently. That is the reason for all the photos. Hope you like it. I used the most amazing stickers I found in my stash! They are clear and sparkly - couldn't tell you where I got them. Sorry. I also colored this Tilda awhile back so again, I can't give you colors. I did figure out something though. I am using that sparkly paper and finally figured out that there has to be a lot of light in the room and you can't be too close to the card or the flash reflects and you have nothing. I love coloring on this stuff so I am thrilled that I have the photography figured out at last. I am back on track, I think! Here's a hug for all of you! Barb F

May Mingle

Karen Conolly DON"T look!! I am going to mail this tomorrow. I used bg15, r20 and e00, e11 e51 for my copics and a challenge. I really love this image and this is the first one of her I have done. She is so happy and I hope she makes my Mingle partner thrilled to get her! I did use the Photo program on my header but I think it has to do with the proportions In the meantime, I found that I could brighten them up a lot. I have a huge seminar coming up so maybe offline for a bit as there is a lot of work still to be done. Guess whose turn it is? I have to get my recipe cards in the mail before that so they will go out soon also. I sure don't want to be considered a slacker. Hugs, Barb F

More challenges

I love the way this one came out all together. I stamped the blue cardstock with white ink. And finally got to glitter a Tilda dress! Now I have to get busy and enter all these - not the BD card though. Hugs, Barb F

Grandson Kai's Birthday

Just had to show you this one! I thought it came out so darned cute and its the very first card I ever made without coloring! I bought some frog paper so the frogs (except the felt one of course) are cut from it. The one on the base is two fold with foamy things between. I glittered the eyes and put white spots on them. He is two so I know he will love this one! Hugs, Barb F

Another card for challenges

I am not a purple person, not pink but this was part of a challenge as well as the sketch and a bunch of other thngs. Sorry I didn't pay any attention to which copics I used as I was preoccupied. I needed to forget everything and so I just colored - actually made 3 cards. I am going to separate them as I am greedy for comments! Promise to work on my header so my blog looks nice and is easier to see. I also showed the inside of the card that isn't a standup. I just had a ball with ink. Hugs, Barb F

copic color and Friday sketchers challenges

Made this one today start to finish! Sure had a good day! Glad my DH is so understanding. I didn't have two of the colors so had to "mix" them according to what I could see in the color charts online. I am amazed at how easy that was! You know what they say about necessity! I got to use the Martha Stewart edge punch that I love, lots of stickles, my Tilda - she is new to me, Magnolia flower stamps, the new fence I got from Diana ( I buy all my Magnolia stuff from her). You know if its not broken-----. The colors were supposed to be YR 16 apricot - I used yr16 and y17., bg49 which I had, E18 copper - I used e8 & e29.The blue is boo and I made the shoes black. I always use e11 for the skin shading and e51 and e00 for the blending along with r20 for the cheeks. Can't remember what greens but can guarantee you they were yg or look like a yellow green. Hope you like this one. The sketch was a difficult one but it was fun. I embossed the oval behind Tilda, and added some partial stamping to the blank parts. Hugs to you all, Barb F

Tilda with charm

Thanks for all the wonderful comments! This is the same card with a charm added. I didn't have any so I made one. Cute? I did it to enter a challenge which is up tonight so here's another photo of the same card! Hugs, Barb F

Back home again in Indiana!

Hi everyone! We got home yesterday and it was killing me until I got to put my new scrapbook stuff away! We went to Canada Niagara Falls and even though the stuff we wanted to see was out of season, we had a great time! Dh took me to two scrapbook stores on the way home, one of which I had been in before around Christmastime. The lady in Elegant Stamper always shows me how to do something new. This time it is the fancy corners on the blue paper. It is a new kind of EK punch and I just had to have it and of course I had to try it out so here it is! I think I am in time for a couple of challenges also. Hope you like this one. I took a few photos as there is a lot going on here. Hugs to you all, Barb F

Simon Says use Tim Holtz stuff

I love ink and have lots of Tim Holtz's stuff, Here goes for another challenge. This card didn't take any time at all to make and was so much fun to do. I kind of shoved it in tonight quickly!  The area around the words sparkles ! Hugs again, Barb F

Flowers and colors

I did this Tilda card for a bunch of challenges including the Copic color challenge. I am sure trying to win something! But its fun and since I might win something my dh thinks its a good deal and doesn't bug me about coloring! Funny man! Hugs, Barb F
